5/9,2PL NCC The management of CMR Institute of Management Studies having realized the growing need for moulding students into responsible citizens of the country and future leaders of our nation decided to start the National Cadet Corps Senior Division for the Under Graduate students. In August 2002, after the visit of Group B Commander Col. S.S. Naik and 9 KAR BN NCC Commanding Officer and his officials, the college got 55 vacancies to start the senior division NCC Unit in CMRIMS. 26th August 2002 was a historic day in the annals of the college since it was on this day the first Parade took place in the college grounds.
The CMRIMS NCC Unit is attached to 9 KAR BN NCC Group B, Cunningham Road, Bangalore. Under the able leadership of Mr. Anandappa as a caretaker the college enrolled 12 students in the academic year 2002 – 2003. From 26-8-2002 the parade commenced. On 25th January 2003 the cadets completed 20 parades including one trekking camp.
