PROFILE The Annual Magazine of CMR Institute of Management Studies,’Samvahan’, began its maiden journey in the year 2002. This debut souvenir provided a glimpse of the contents of the forthcoming editions .It was indeed a vehicle promoting creativity and intellectual stimulus among the students. The Editorial Committee comprised Dr.Swaroop Reddy,Ms,Uma Sastry,Ms.Somswari,Ms.Ramya T.P and Lt.Anandaappa .The magazine featured reports and articles by students of Management,Bio-Science, Information Technology and Humanities bringing different perspectives into its pages.
The second edition of the magazine published in 2003 was not only a forum for the students to express themselves but also a source of information, knowledge and entertainment. The focus of the issue was inter department fest’Div-Utsav held on 15th and 16th of November 2002.The Editorial Board consisting of Ms,Uma Sastry,Ms.Somswari,Ms.Ramya T.P and Lt.Anandaappa were commended for their laudable effort in presenting a new facade to the magazine. The consequent issue of the magazine in 2004 provided a vivid insight into the ever increasing activities and achievements of CMRIMS-symposiums, seminars, sports and cultural activities that would remain indelible in print.
The launching of the next edition in 2005 concurrent with novelty was a deliberate attempt to project the multicultural ambience in the institution. The Staff Editors, Bharat Inamdar, H.K.S.Swamy and Lt.Anandappa firmly and resolutely believed that creativity coupled with enthusiasm triggered the success of the magazine. Samvahan 2006 with a promising enclosure of creativity in abundance reflected invariably the steady and gradual progress of the magazine towards greater glory and success. Stepping foot into 2007, Samvahan carried with it the pride of having brought out seven successful editions. Exploring, unearthing and fine tuning the creativity and talents of the students could well be defined the continuous mission of Samvahan up to the present. |
