The Foreign Students Association (FSA) is the most dynamic association of CMR Institute of Management Studies. It is indeed a paradigm of cosmopolitan culture. The convergence of diverse cultures, ideas and idealisms adds to the mileage of this association. The association embarked on the year’s journey organizing an orientation programme on 30 September 2008.The office bearers for the year were announced.Mr.Santhosh,the foreign students co-coordinator gave an insight into the numerous events for the international community in the year ahead. The programme bore testimony to the overwhelming positive response from the participating students.
The Deepawali Milan by World Organization of Students and Youth on 31 October 2008 saw the convergence of foreign students from different institutions .Cultural performances ruled the day. The international community then indulged in bursting crackers with full enthusiasm and excitement. The international students day jointly organized by ICCR, Christ university and management academy on 15 November 2008 witnessed a two thousand strong audience gathering at Christ University auditorium. The director of ICCR, Mr. Lobo, the acting Vice Chancellor of the Bangalore University Professor H.D Rathod,the Vice Chancellor of Christ university Dr.Thomas C. Mathew were the guests of honour.Each event was distinct and had a special charm in its own way.
A meeting for international students was specially arranged by the FSA which facilitated a tete a tete with the Principal.Almost simultaneously a felicitation ceremony was organized for former director ICCR Dr.J.W. Lobo.close on heels Federation of international students association,Bangalore bid farewell to dr. j.w lobo.a kathak dance by Indian international dancers stole the show.FSA CMRIMS organized a memorable trip to wonderla on 10 march 2009.
The year ended with the ICCR organizing a farewell party to ICCR scholars who completed their respective courses.
